The Job

As a Senior Hardware Engineer at Teton you will be involved in all aspects of device and systems design, from idea to volume production. This requires that you have an exceptional knowledge of electronics, systems design, test and verification, and electronics manufacturing. You will be part of a small hardware team, and work closely together with other parts of the development organization on a daily basis. You will play a key role in establishing a modern hardware engineering culture with focus on good engineering practices and pragmatic development and documentation processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Concept development and prototyping of next generation of hardware.

  • Design and implementation electronics and hardware.

  • New product introduction and transferring new designs to production.

  • Support and maintenance of existing hardware platforms.

  • Active participation in establishing a great hardware engineering culture and foundation.

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional knowledge of analog, digital, and power electronics.

  • Good understanding of systems design and the interfaces between electronics, mechanics, and software.

  • Experience with high-speed data interfaces and signal integrity.

  • Experience with RF electronics, and antenna design for WiFi, 4G LTE, or 5G.

  • Experience with embedded systems design

  • Experience with working in a highly regulated field such as medical device design, automotive or similar.

  • Experience with camera and vision system design.

  • Experience with Schematic design and PCB layout.

  • Ability to quickly adapt to and use new CAD, simulation tools, and other software tools.

  • Experience with Design for manufacturing, assembly, and test.

  • Experience with test, measurement & documentation.

  • Experience with new product introduction and collaborating with external production partners.

  • Experience with compliance and certifications regarding EMC/EMI, LVD, RoHS, RED, FCC, etc.

  • Experience with design of hardware for high reliability applications with multi-year continuous operation.

  • Strong analytical skills and a structured approach to work.

  • Experience with working with version control and automated workflows.

  • Programming and scripting experience for tooling and equipment automation using Python or similar.

  • Experience with the Nvidia Jetson hardware platforms.

  • Feel at home in a Linux terminal.
